I’m not sure who created the presentation below on Costco, but it’s fantastic.
Costco has 50 million members, and 27% of all US households are cardholders.
For 40 years, Costco has succeeded with a simple formula: reinvest merchandising profits into lower prices and better products; be a disciplined operator; and treat customers and employees well.
While Amazon may not be going away any time soon, that’s okay; because as each quarter of sales, profit, and membership growth shows, neither is Costco.
